Summary:
The Academny of Orthopaedic Surgeons gathered materials, conducted interviews, videotaped oral histories, collected artifacts and photographs in an effort to preserve the stories of its members and their specialty during the Second World War. What we found in our research was that WWII was a seminal moment in the development of modern day Orthopaedics.
